MCC from HögforsGST is a modern district heating substation developed to improve cooling and lower the return temperature in the district heating system. Through an innovative switching principle, the temperature of the district heating water is utilized more efficiently before it is sent back to the district heating network. A lower return temperature means that more heat can be extracted from the same amount of district heating water and that the flow requirement can be reduced. This creates better conditions for an efficient district heating system, both in the property and in the distribution network. MCC thus combines a well-proven product, the district heating central, with a solution that addresses an important challenge in todays district heating: to improve cooling and get more out of the available heat.
